BECOMING A SWIMMER

SC HAKOAH offers children from around 5 years of age with kindergarten experience the opportunity to learn to swim in a playful way. Our beginners' courses focus on the joy of being in the water. The children begin with water familiarization and water management exercises. They learn how to breathe properly, dive, jump into the water and finally the first independent swimming strokes.

Important: Every child determines his or her own learning pace!

Course Times & Locations

The swimming courses take place in the teaching pool of the Floridsdorf swimming pool at pleasant water temperatures. The courses are usually offered on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. during school time.

• First course block: beginning of October until the semester break

• Second course block: From the semester break to the summer break

• Intensive courses: Usually at the beginning of July during the summer holidays

advanced courses

Children who can already swim safely for a few meters have the opportunity to further develop their skills in the non-swimmers' pool at the Floridsdorfer Bade or in the training hall at the Amalienbad. Here they improve their water safety and learn their first swimming styles, starting with backstroke and crawl.
